  • MEET "APPA" THE YACHT | MysiteRent a sail boat in Turkey

See the details at Jeanneau S/v APPA APPA is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49i designed by Philippe Briand out of France and is known for her stable helm and up wind performance. She is one of the last of their kind focused on sea worthiness rather than stern width. Even with stronger winds APPA sails with minimal heeling making for a fun and enjoyable time at sea. APPA has 4 cabins and 4 bathrooms with accommodations for 8 including the captains. The Main Salon This is the best part of APPA's interior. For a 50 foot yacht she shares a salon similar to larger boats. So after the sun goes down and it's time to watch a movie or sit around the table with a tea and some board games, this is the spot. The Front Master Suite "Earth Master" On APPA the front two cabins can be combined to create a large single suite with dual bathrooms. You can make one bathroom the shower/toilettes and the other just for getting ready for a night out. This large suite is reserved for when 4 patrons journey with APPA. Starboard Quarter Berth "Fire" Fire is the cabin of fearless and creative spirits... The bedrooms at the back of the boat are called Quarter Berths. Here you will find a wider bed and a bit more storage space for your belongings. All of our rooms have their own entry to the bathrooms. Port Quarter Berth "Air" Air is the cabin of free souls... The other side back bedroom is a mirror image of the other. It also offers a wide bed and good storage space. Bow Port Berth "Water" Water is the cabin of changing and harmonious nature... This is how the rooms at the front come with the divider in it. Although it looks smaller at the feet, the head room is very wide for a couple staying together. If a single sailor is enjoying this room, then I recommend having your head towards the front of the boat and enjoy a book propped up. This room has plenty of head space. Bow Starboard Berth "Earth" Earth is the cabin of helpful and hardworking souls... The mirror of the water room you will find the Earth room. Both of these rooms offer their own private bathroom only accessible inside the rooms. Bow Bathroom 1 of 2 This is what our front bathrooms or in nautical terms, "head" looks like. In each bathroom there is a faucet that will pull out and then be mounted on a clip, this will then be your shower. In the summer people will use this feature a lot after swimming. Aft Bathroom 1 of 2 The rear bathrooms are very similar to the front heads but with the ability to get in to them from both the quarter bedroom side and the salon side.

  • MEET THE CAPTAINS | MysiteRent a sail boat in Turkey

Who said a Yacht can't have two captains? We started our sailing adventure in Seattle back in 2016. We learned how to sail with our first boat, a 27-foot Cascade Sloop called "Flying Circus" and tasted the freedom of the sea. Then we said, like most of the sailors we know , why don't we buy a bigger boat! We spent five fabulous years with our 36 foot Hans Christian model sail boat named "Golden Heart" where we discovered the most beautiful bays and islands of the Pacific North West, USA. Our final plan was to set sail in the warm waters of the Mediterranean :D Finally, our dream came true and we united with our 2009 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 49i! We want to sail the Mediterranean sea with APPA and share this experience with you. As the captains of APPA we promise you a safe, fun and peaceful holiday and we hope to collect good memories together. Captain Sean Credentials : United States Coast Guard 25 Gross Tonnage (GT) + Aux Sail Sean received his USCG 25 GT+ Auxillary Sail License in June of 2021 after graduating from the United States Maritime Academy with a Masters 100 GT OUPV Certificate. He achieved this logging many hours Inland and Near Coastal voyages both in the Pacific North West of the United States and on the Turkish Coast. He also holds an ASA License book active up to ASA 104 with the International Proficiency Certificate for Mediterranean waters. What he loves : Sailing!!! Getting as much as he can from the wind, arriving to a beautiful anchorage safe and sound just in time for the sunset! Captain Asli Credentials : Captain 149 GT+ Seaman Cert, Ministry of Sea Turkey Asli has been sailing since 2016 mostly in the Pacific Northwest's waters and now exploring the beautiful Mediterranean! She received her Seaman Certification from Republic of Turkey (yes Seaman even though she is a woman !) in 2021 and currently is an intern captain that qualifies her for sailing yachts up to 149 GT. What she loves: Exploring new places and having new experiences! She is a story teller so she needs more experiences to tell more stories :)
